Young and Beautiful Aesthetics

From wrinkle relaxing to IV therapy –– meet the nurses who co-founded a natural and subtle aesthetics business

Kate Young and Melanie Taylor are nurses at heart. Both of them have more than 15-years of advanced nursing practice within the NHS and the private sector before they embarked on a new journey into the world of aesthetics.

They co-founded Young and Beautiful Aesthetics three-years-ago after realising they both shared the same passion of wanting to make people happy.

The aesthetics duo have most recently opened a treatment room in Northampton, joining Kristina Rihanoff and Ben Cohen in their latest venture at SooYoga. Kate and Mel also hold clinics in Rushden and Wellingborough delivering treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, chemical peels and more.

“I’ve always had an avid interest in anti-aging products and so it just made sense to move on into the wrinkle relaxing world,” said Kate, one of the founders of Young and Beautiful Aesthetics. Joint founder Mel added, “We just love making people feel better about themselves, it’s just so rewarding.” Kate and Mel are both NMC registered nurses, have professional indemnity insurance and are members of the Aesthetic Complications Expert (ACE) group. They showcase their expertise in aesthetics regularly on their Facebook page where they share important information about the process and the treatments. Young and Beautiful Aesthetics only use reputable products from pharmacies within the UK, are FDA and CE approved and have clinical research to prove the treatments efficacy.

Kate and Mel have always taken a more natural and subtle approach to aesthetics, which is achieved through their honesty and experience. “It’s not about making people look twenty years younger, it’s about making them look good for their age as we are all about providing natural results,” said Mel. “People won’t come up to you and ask if you’ve had fillers, they will ask if you’ve had your hair done or your eyebrows done as they can’t pinpoint exactly what you’ve had done –– that’s the kind of compliment you want,” added Kate.

The most important part of the process is the free no-obligation consultation that takes place prior to undergoing any type of treatment at Young and Beautiful Aesthetics. “It’s about educating the patients. It gives us a chance to get to know them and them a chance to get to know us,” said Kate.

With their caring nature from years of working as nurses, it’s clear that Kate and Mel are keen to ensure every patient feels looked after throughout the whole process. Mel said, “It’s the reassurance and advice we give beforehand, the consultation where we manage your expectations, explain side effects, the treatment day and then the aftercare once you’ve left the clinic. All parts of this process are so important and put together to ensure you achieve your desired goal.”
